Internship – Student Employee

About the Role

We’re seeking a detail-oriented Intern Student Employee to join our team. This position plays a key role in supporting our Sales, Marketing, Production, Engineering & Customer Service departments. You’ll work closely with our department managers, and operations team members to ensure every customer interaction reflects DILO’s commitment to quality and care. The opportunity is inclusive and supportive of student schedule and exposes the individual to real life sales, marketing, production, engineering and service challenges. The role is designed to foster growth and education in a corporate environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the production team & Senior Staff Engineer with creation and updating mechanical and electrical design drawings, bill of materials and design drafting as required utilizing manual and electronic design engineering tools methods (i.e. AutoCAD or equivalent).
• Support the production team & Senior Staff Engineer to work with the design and creation of processes for assembly, troubleshooting and repair as required and assigned. Assignment may require process flow charts, Standard operating Procedures (S.O.P’s), written instructions and/or print creation from existing templates.
• Support in the assembly, repair, services and testing of gas recovery systems, analyzers, leak detectors, room monitors, etc., and other equipment and accessories per formal and informal processes, mechanical and electrical prints and customer specifications.
• Perform operations of gas recovery systems as related to cylinder consolidation, cylinder testing and recycling separator. The Individual will perform these tasks while maintaining minimal emissions.
• Work with insulating gases, liquids and other natural origin or inert gases as applicable. Perform analysis of gases in a production or laboratory environment.

 

Qualifications

• Education/Training: High School Diploma or equivalent; technical or college/university studies (on going or completed).
• Individual must have training in electrical safety, industrial safety (i.e. OSHA, NFPA, etc.). May be obtained when role is assigned
• Skills/ Abilities ENGINEERING: Interpret instructions technical documents, clarifications, drawings/prints. Have minor electro-mechanical skills and abilities or
• Skills/Abilities BUSINESS or SALES & MARKETING : Accounting, business management, sales & marketing
• Demonstrate communication, creativity and organizational skills, and maintain a sense of accountability
• Operate computer and mobile phone applications including MS Office tools; Outlook; QuickBooks; and other computer-related applications as part of the duties and responsibilities listed above
• Understand customer service skills and push to elevate capabilities to support others
• Professional Certifications & Licenses: Valid motor vehicle operator’s license; Technical vocational-school, technical university or college diploma; or meet or exceed the qualifications listed.
