Application
Many circuit breaker manufactures have standardized on the DILO sealing system. Unlike conventional NPT, compression, and flared fittings, DILO couplings are designed specifically to handle the unique characteristics of SF6. Even when used in mobile applications (i.e. gas cart construction), re-tightening of fittings is never required. When used on the ends of gas service cart hoses, the operator can be assured that one of two things may be in the hose -- a positive pressure of SF6, or a vacuum.
Description
The patented metal-to-metal tongue and groove design allows the two mating couplings to "bite" into one another. Even when tightened by hand, the operator can be guaranteed a leak-free system. No O-rings or other permeable materials are used in the primary sealing system. The allows a truly hermetic seal, in which neither SF6 can escape, or air/moisture can enter.
