PF-C1448-P SF6 Gas Pre-filter housing
The SF6 mass flow measuring system can be used to accurately measure the quantity of SF6 (in lbs./mass) as it is either filling equipment, or during gas recovery. Because the measurement is based on the volume of gas passing through the device, traditional cylinder weighing is not required. Thus the operator will not have to lift a bottle onto a scale – a welcome relief.
Application
The PF-C1448-P series filter unit offers effective protection against heavily soiled SF6. The filters are used as pre - filter units in line between the SF6 processing unit und the SF6 gas compartment. Unwanted contaminants such as moisture, decomposition products and oil mist can effectively be removed with these filters.
Description
The PF-C1448-P filter housing is designed to work with pressures of up to 500 psig! This can eliminate the need for large, bulky and very heavy desiccant towers, often associated with the pre-filtration of SF6. Filter cores are readily available, and can be delivered within 24-48 hours. Each PF-C1448-P filter is designed to operate with three filter cores. This allows for precise targeting of key contaminants

Filter Cores - order as separate item
Three different types of cores are available allowing to target the filter unit for the existing impurities of the SF6 gas. Cores are individually packed in metal cans, fully activated, and hermetically sealed against moisture and dirt.

Activated Core This is the standard core using activated aluminum oxide and molecular sieve for removal of moisture and by-products.
